Linken Jackson Gurr Has Arrived....

Well here he is.... Linken decided to join us on his due date April 23, 2009 at 2:23pm.... After waiting patiently and walking a ton everynight for the last week or so to help he decided to come on his own terms. Wednesday at 3:00 am (so really Thursday) I woke up having contractions and as I tried to fall back to sleep they kept getting closer and harder to handle... I waited about an hour and called into the hospital to let them know I was on my way in. Once we arrived at the hospital they told me I was dilated to a 3 and the baby and I were being monitored and they check us in. Within two hours my contractions were getting pretty bad and with some complaining they decided to check me again and said I was dilated between a 5 or 6 and was ready to get my epidural. About 45 minutes later I got my epidural which I must say didn't hurt near as bad as it looked. Once I was numb I was a happy camper and was on my I-Phone answering emails for work. Only a few hours later the pressure was getting pretty bad and the pushing begin. It seemed like I was pushing FOREVER but only ended up pushing for about 3 hours and he was here. Linken was born 7 lbs 9 oz and is 20 and 1/2 inches long. He has his daddies long fingers and toes with my ears and nose. He is a beautiful baby and child birth is truly a miracle.
Enjoy the pictures.....

Below is Linken sleep on his daddy at 5 days old!

Here is Brady and Linken watching American idol. I am trying to adjust to my new life full of diaper changing, feeding every two hours, and being pooped and pee'd on. I am really starting to love it. I will hopefully have more time now between feeding and changing to update the blog with new pics of Linken as he grows.

Congrats!! He is super cute! Here's some advice: Get the book "baby wise" and follow the schedule! Sawyer is such a good baby and is just about sleeping through the night at 8 weeks! Oh and also, don't skimp on diapers, the nicer ones have less blowouts! Totally worth a little extra cash!

I second the diaper thing that Hollie said but I have told you that before.I think you will figure your own way of doing things as you go. Let me know if need some sister advice...I am ready to give it! I love you and am so happy you are a mommy. I can't wait to hold him and give him kisses. Adi keeps saying she want to have a new baby sister. She is going to have to be a little patient. Love you!
